Cavity Barriers / Fire Curtains
Cavity barrier / fire and smoke curtains can contain the affected area in the event of a fire and are designed for use in all building and construction joints. They is a specially coated, woven glass fibre blankets, providing up to 2 hours fire and smoke protection to large unsupported openings. Typical uses include subdivision in an attic void.
Fire curtains and smoke curtains work to prevent the spread of flames, smoke and heat and can provide compartmentation between different areas.
Using fire curtains can prevent initial small fires from escalating into disasters, safeguarding people and property. Smoke curtains and fire curtains are suitable for a variety of applications, including suspended ceilings, factories, open plan lofts, offices, shopping centres, stadiums, hangars, etc.
